The 'expert' in this charter97-article explained:
In several countries a norm exists, according to which a journalist who makes a close-up, should take permission from the person he or she is shooting.
________

Question to the expert: In which European countries are such norms existing? Without a single example and without evidence, such information is called allegation - in particular when published in a journalistic context. Are chief editors of Charter97 really aware, what damage they are responsible for, caused by such non-professional reports?

Public misinformtion about laws in Germany was spread in Belarus purposefully. Therefore BEL_air likes to provide you firstly about fact facts given by the relevant laws in Germany.

In Germany no photographer or camera operator needs any permission for photographing or filming persons who are attending public gatherings. (Law on Copyright concerning works of applied arts and photography, § 23 (1) paragraph 2

The same applies for publishing of photos or videos taken at a public gathering, as long the given context is made transparent in the framework of the format of publishing.

BEL_air calls upon Charter97 charter chief editors: please do not support misinformatian campaigns - but report about about such objectively and based on facts.
