Leanid Navitski, the legendary activist of the Belarusian Resistance, the Belarusian champion in boxing, the head of security service of the presidential candidate of Belarus Andrei Sannikov, a journalist of the Charter97.org website in 2011-2014, sent his congratulations from Paris.

– Hello everyone. My name is Leanid Navitski. Many people remember me as an activist of the Zubr movement, as an activist of European Belarus. Today I want to congratulate the wonderful web site Charter-97 on its birthday. For 20 years this site has been providing information to people in Belarus. It has been doing it in the conditions of persecution, under the conditions of dictatorship. The regime arrests and beats Charter-97's journalists; killed Aleh Bebenin, the founder of the web site, but the site, despite everything, has not surrendered and continues to deliver information to people.

I want to congratulate everyone who loves this site, who is involved in the creation and operation of this site, on such a wonderful day – the Charter's birthday! From Paris with love.
