I live at such times and in such circumstances that many interesting things could happen to me in my life, from good to bad, any minute. Arrests and imprisonments, victories and liberation. Such times. We all are capable of many things.

And we all believe in our undertaking to struggle for human values, for the truth, for the rule of Law. We have not lost belief in the institutions of the future fair authorities.

This is the most important thing. Today’s rule of usurpers is capable of any inhumane provocations, but our real solidarity will inevitably break this prison electric wire. It’s hard to walk the way of truth.

We have been offered to live in a GULAG colony, or in a ghetto – choose, they said. It’s impossible to imagine yourself under trial in the space without fair information, without the right to the free institutions of mass media, independent from the rule of dictatorships, as this is a dead end of our outlook, our existence.

And now we are witnessing trials against the independent media which cover our everyday life, our dramatic struggle for civil rights, our detentions. None of us expected getting into a GULAG in the 21st century in the center of Europe, for struggling for human rights, guaranteed by the law.

It’s only thanks to the independent media the whole world knows that we exist. It’s hard to overestimate this when you are on the fire line in the war with Europe’s last dictatorship.

It remains a question to me, why the website Charter97.org is still blocked. However, I do know why the website Charter97.org scares the dictator so much. Because Charter’97 protects me!

Not many can protect me here. But I can protect Charter’97 here. Here.

I am asking you to protect us by protecting the independent media Charter’97.
