Traffic Police Department Organises ‘Surprise’ For Belarusian Drivers At Big Weekend

The state traffic police has strengthened control over the suppression of gross violations of traffic rules by drivers and pedestrians, especially at night.

The increased attention is going to be paid to timely detection of drunk road users, suspension of lawless drivers from driving.

Units of the ‘Strela’ special traffic police unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are carrying out preventive work in the settlements and roads of Brest and Hrodna regions.

There is a surge of ‘drunk’ accidents on holidays and weekends, noted the department. In this regard, the traffic police is holding a preventive measure ‘Drunk and Licenceless Have No Place on the Road’ until November 11. They suggest to report drunk drivers, pedestrians or cyclists calling 102.
