Belarusian Woman Falls From Fourth Floor Of Thai Hotel, Suffers Serious Injuries

She was transported to Belarus.

A 23-year-old Belarusian woman, who was vacationing in the city of Patong on the west coast of the Thai island of Phuket, fell from the fourth floor of a hotel and suffered serious injuries. Local media reported on the accident at the end of November, Onliner notes.

According to the police, the tourist returned to the hotel late in the evening and realized that she had forgotten her key. She tried to climb into her room through the window using the fire escape, but fell to the ground. She was taken to the hospital conscious.

Information about this also appeared in the Phuket, Russian Club community on Facebook: there, a fundraising was organized for the victim (her name is Katsiaryna) for treatment and transportation to Belarus, which, allegedly, Thai doctors insisted on.

“Such a stupid mistake led to very serious injuries, literally everything was broken (except the head): arms, legs, spine, ribs that pierced the lungs, the liver was torn…” wrote the author of the post with the collection of funds.

Today, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Katsiaryna was helped to return to Belarus.

She continues treatment and rehabilitation in specialized medical institutions.
