Series Of Explosions Heard Over Sochi

A drone attack has been reported.

A series of explosions were reported over Sochi (the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation) this morning, with Russian sources claiming it was a drone attack.

This has been reported by RBC-Ukraine with a reference to Russian Telegram channels.

In particular, subscribers of the SHOT channel reported hearing 7 to 10 explosions starting at 5:50 a.m. local time in Lazarevskoye, Sochi. According to them, the blasts “caused windows to shake in their frames and triggered car alarms”.

Loud sounds were also noted by residents of Tuapse.

SHOT suggested that air defense systems allegedly responded to drones over the Black Sea.

The ASTRA channel recently cited a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense, which claims that air defense systems allegedly shot down 19 drones.

“9 were shot down over the territory of the Belgorod region, 5 over the Voronezh region, 3 over the Black Sea, and 1 each over the territories of the Kursk region and Krasnodar Territory,” the statement said.
