Russian Ship Ursa Major Sunk Off Algeria's Coast Was Blown Up: New Details

Evidence from crew members has emerged.

The Russian ship Ursa Major, which sank this week off the coast of Algeria and was involved in transporting weapons from Syria, was blown up.

At least, this is what the company that owns the ship, Oboronlogistics, claims, and whose statement is cited by Russian propaganda media, Dialog.UA reports.

The company claims that a "terrorist attack" was carried out against the ship.

Statements from crew members are cited, who reported three consecutive explosions on the starboard side near the stern.

After the explosions, the ship began to list sharply to starboard, causing water to enter the ship's premises. The Russian Foreign Ministry previously stated that an explosion occurred in the engine room of the ship before the sinking.

As a result of the ship incident, two crew members are considered missing, 14 were evacuated and delivered to the port of Cartagena.

The Russian propagandists' report does not specify who might be behind the "terrorist attack" on the aforementioned dry cargo ship.
