Putin Will Soon Have Hard Time

A new stage of the war began.

Two years and fifty-eight days of war passed. Nothing good happens at the front. But there is no terrible catastrophe there either. The ISW map shows the deterioration of the situation in the Liman direction. But again: not enough to panic.

The BBC writes that the Russians, realizing that the good cards that fell to them (due to the delay of American assistance for almost six months) turned out to be crushed, are now making desperate attempts in the last week before the arrival of American assistance to improve their positions as much as possible.

I hope that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is aware of the fact that in the remaining days the Ukrainian soldiers will have a particularly hard time. But, we all hope that since they have lasted all these six months, they will not fail in the last week. Moreover, the Russians no longer have the same strength...

Yesterday, in the joy of voting in the House of Representatives, I completely forgot to write about the fact that on the night of Friday to Saturday, Ukrainians attacked the territory of Russia with a large number of UAVs.

According to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, there were 50 Ukrainian drones shot down by Russian air defence forces alone. And how many of them were not shot down is even unknown.

According to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, 26 drones were shot down over the Belgorod region, 10 - over the Bryansk region, eight - over the Kursk region, two - over the Tula region and one each over the Smolensk, Moscow, Kaluga and Ryazan regions. The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported the death of two Russians as a result of a drone attack.

In addition, throughout yesterday, Ukrainian drones continued to attack various regions of the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation reported the destruction of two Ukrainian aircraft-type drones in the sky over the Bryansk region - according to the department, this happened at about 23.30 Moscow time. In addition, over the Belgorod region, Russian air defence systems shot down one aircraft-type drone at about 21:50 (Moscow time). Zhukovsky district, Kaluga region, at about 19:30 Minsk time, several drones were shot down.

As a result of these strikes, three power substations and oil depots were hit. It is difficult to estimate the scale of the destruction now, but judging by the videos posted online, the fires look quite impressive.

Now there is more and more information that the Russian Tu-22 bomber shot down in the Stavropol region was destroyed by Ukrainians using the Patriot air defence system. It is unlikely that the GUR (Ukrainian Defence Intelligence) and the Ukrainian army did this by so-called "partisan" methods, that is, without coordination with the Americans and despite their ban on the use of American weapons on the territory of Russia. Why pose risk to the good relationship with the U.S.? An uneven hour will still refuse to supply missiles for the Ukrainian air defence.

From this, I personally conclude that the White House and the Pentagon have lifted their ban on the use of American weapons against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation. Maybe unofficially for now, but nevertheless. This is indirectly confirmed by the fact that lately there have been no more requests from American officials to stop attacks on Russian refineries.

Together with the American help, which was voted yesterday by the House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress, it all looks like some new stage of the war. If so, the Russians will soon have a hard time. Especially considering that in fact a decision has already been made on ATACMS long-range ballistic missiles, and in the summer F-16 fighters will begin to arrive in Ukraine. So:

Glory to Ukraine!
