Interesting Arithmetic Of War
Vladimir Pastukhov

A few thoughts on the pyramid of death, which is being erected in Russia at a shock construction pace.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has just informed deputies that the average salary in Russia has reached 73 thousand rubles. At the same time, several analytical centres have updated data on war spending. If the figures announced by RE: RUSSIA are correct (and so far no one has attempted to refute them), and if 14 million roubles are indeed paid for each person killed as part of the three trillion roubles in compensation paid to servicemen and their families over the year, then an interesting arithmetic of the war emerges.

If for each killed person 140 thousand euros are paid (I translate this into hard currency to cut off the zeros), and the average salary in Russia is approximately 730 euros per month, then for each killed person the family receives approximately the average salary for 16 years. If we take into account that a significant part of the army contingent now are people earning not the average but the minimum wage, which in the current year is about 192 euros, then the compensation in case of their death for their families is up to 60 years of their potential income. In Russia, these people do not work that long, so the compensation covers at once two or three generations of Russian men who have finally become attractive to their women in an economic sense. In this way, the payment compensates at once for the unearned income from unborn children as well. There arises an irresistible desire to kill someone by means of war.

We are faced with an unprecedented corrupting of the people by the temptation of death. ‘Our business is death’ - this is not the motto of Wagner, but the principle of existence of the Russian people, who, taking advantage of the opportunity (war), agitatingly exchange today life for death at a very favourable rate. Under the pressure of such disproportions in the cost of life and death, all traditional family values, for the sake of preserving which everything was supposedly designed, are collapsing. It would be, perhaps, more profitable only if to sell men for organs, like an old car for spare parts.
