‘Russia Will Face Apocalypse When Trump Realizes One Thing’

This could play into the hands of Ukraine and others.

The United States, against the backdrop of Donald Trump's rise to power, is offering various approaches to ending the war and peace talks. The newly elected US leader even wants to meet with the dictator, and this could play into the hands of Ukraine.

This opinion was expressed in an interview with Channel 24 by Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Chairman of the Office of the President of Ukraine. Vladimir Putin's ambitions do not end in Ukraine, he wants more. As soon as Trump sees this, Russia will have a hard time.

It is important for Trump to understand the most important thing about Putin's intentions

Recently, Donald Trump said that Vladimir Putin wants to meet with him, and what's more, the meeting is already being prepared. According to Podolyak, if the newly elected US President communicates with the Russian dictator in one format or another, he will understand one very important thing — Putin is striving to dominate, in particular in bilateral relations between Russia and the United States.

In addition, Trump will see that Putin wants to end the war exclusively within the framework of his scenario, which sounds a little different than everyone thinks: not the capitulation of Ukraine, but the humiliation of the United States.

“Putin can smile, offer his strange constructive Pecheneg logic, but in the end we will see that Russia wants the humiliation of the United States. At that moment, the apocalypse will begin for Russia,” Podolyak emphasized.

The adviser to the Chairman of the Public Chamber also noted that it is important for the United States, Ukraine and other important allies to synchronize their position on the end of the war. It should not be based on the fantasies of Russia and Vladimir Putin personally.

“Ukraine will not adhere to a strange destructive plan for the end of the war. We will continue to do what we are doing. Gradually, our partners will join in. In particular, Europe has already come to the thesis that it is necessary to simply increase the amount of destruction on Russian territory,” Podolyak added.

The West offers illogical “compromises” for Ukraine and Russia

In this context, it is worth recalling that the future Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Ukraine will not be able to recapture all of its territories, but Russia will not be able to seize all of Ukraine's territory either. Therefore, both countries will be forced to compromise to end the war.

The adviser to the head of the OP noted that with Rubio's statement it is clear that a compromise for Ukraine would be to give up its territories. At the same time, it is unclear what would then be a compromise for Russia.

“So we are encouraging a state that has started international aggression and nullified international law to continue this aggression, and we will consider that we have reached a compromise? As soon as we give something up, it will mean that Russia has won — a partial victory, of course, it has not achieved its others, but still,” Podolyak explained.

This development of events will mean that Russia will return to the global political process, will not pay reparations and will begin a discussion about unfreezing its assets. In addition, the aggressor country will receive certain income and will be able to maintain its authoritarian model of statehood built on expansion. In conclusion, the Kremlin will not bear responsibility for the war — neither legally nor financially.

Podolyak added that Ukrainians need to calmly react to any public statements or scenarios about the end of the war. Ukraine should insist that the only tool for working with Russia is a tool of coercion. It is possible only through increasing strikes on Russia and scaling the war on the territory of the aggressor country.

Only this will force Russia to an adequate negotiating position.

Does Ukraine have a better alternative than NATO

Discussions are also underway about such a “compromise” for Ukraine as refusing to join NATO. At the same time, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said that Ukraine will not refuse NATO membership and will not agree to substitutes for it.

There is a simple reason for this, which Mykhailo Podolyak also explained: this is the best guarantee of security for Ukraine, which will protect it from armed aggression by Russia in the future.

“If there is a tool when everyone gets together and generally solves the problem of an attack on the country, such a mechanism exists, then what other mechanism could there be for an effective response in the event of an attack by Russia and not only against any country that is part of the Alliance?” the adviser to the head of the OP specified.

The only other effective guarantee of security could be a bilateral agreement. For example, with the United States. However, it still provides for the intervention of other allies. This was clearly demonstrated by the example of Israel.

For example, during Iran’s massive attack on Israel on April 14, 2024, France, Great Britain and the Persian Gulf countries immediately joined in repelling the strikes after the United States as part of a unified program to protect the skies over Israel.

“Bilateral guarantees are essentially the same as NATO,” Podolyak added.

To sum up, it can be said that there is no such effective guarantee of security for Ukraine as joining NATO.
