AFU Push Russians Back Near Two Settlements

Ukrainian forces are advancing near Shevchenko and in Udachne.

On the night of 22 January, the Ukrainian military successfully repulsed enemy attacks near the settlements of Shevchenko and Udachne. At the same time, according to the DeepState analytical project, Russian troops continue their offensive in other areas of Donetsk region.

According to DeepState, the enemy has advanced near Velyka Novoselka, Vozdvizhenka, Slavyanka and Serebryane.

The Russian occupiers are trying to capture Velyka Novoselka, aiming to cut the road from Zelene Pile and occupy the settlement without street fighting.

In addition, the Russian army is outflanking Pokrovsk from the south, approaching the border with Dnipropetrovsk region. Currently, the enemy is moving towards Kotline and Udachne, located on the Mezheva-Pokrovsk motorway.

According to Viktor Tregubov, the speaker of the operational-strategic grouping of troops ‘Khortytsa’, the occupants have a numerical advantage and are conducting active offensive actions, trying to capture nearby villages in an attempt to partially encircle Pokrovsk.

The head of the Pokrovsk town military administration, Serhiy Dobryak, reported a sharp increase in shelling of the town by Russian troops. Now the enemy is less than three kilometres from the town.

Fierce fighting continues in Toretsk. The enemy is using ‘scorched earth’ tactics, destroying the town's infrastructure and positions of the Ukrainian military.
