US President Donald Trump has nominated former head of US fast food chain Carl's Jr Andrew Puzder as ambassador to the European Union. He will represent the US in this important region.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Trump's statement on his Truth Social platform.
‘I am pleased to announce that Andrew F. Puzder will become the next US Ambassador to the European Union. Andy is a successful attorney, businessman, economic commentator and author,’ he wrote.
He said Puzder has served as CEO of the parent company of fast-food chains Carl's Jr and Hardee's since 2000.
‘During his 17-year tenure as CEO, Andy led the company out of serious financial difficulties, allowing it to survive, become financially secure and grow. Andy will do an excellent job representing our country's interests in this important region,’ Trump added.
Carl's Jr. is an American fast-food restaurant chain with more than 3,600 locations in 38 countries. It was founded by Carl Karcher in 1941 and is now a subsidiary chain of CKE Restaurants.
