Ukraine is demonstrating its readiness for diplomatic dialogue with the Russian Federation, but from a position of strength. And the newly elected US President Donald Trump may become the moderator of the success of the negotiations.

He wants to meet with the newly elected President of the United States, it's like his biggest dream... Because he is striving for legitimization.

And, by the way, President Volodymyr Zelensky also recalled this in an interview, in slightly different words. Yes, for Putin it is important after what he did, after the act of genocide, after the blowing up of dams, after ecocides, after “Oreshniks”, the shelling of a peaceful city with intercontinental ballistic missiles, after, in fact, the destruction of the entire architecture of world security, to shake Trump's hand. Of course, Putin is ready to give a lot for this,” the political scientist believes.

In this situation, according to the expert, it is important for Ukraine “not to sell too cheap.”

“If a meeting between Trump and Putin is subsequently planned, then it should, of course, take place on fully formulated terms, on strong terms in favor of Ukraine, which coincide with Trump’s strong position,” concluded Oleksiy Buryachenko.
