Zelensky takes out from his reserves the diplomatic weapon that he has for a "rainy day".
In an interview with American podcaster Lex Friedman, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Aliaksandr Lukashenka called him and asked for forgiveness for his participation in the war. The disclosure of this information was a blow to the Belarusian dictator. This opinion was expressed to 24 Channel by the head of the Center for Public Analysis “Vezha” Valery Klochok.
According to the expert, it would be strange to hear confirmation of Zelensky's words from Lukashenka. The Belarusian dictator believes that he is a politician who knows how to stay in power and communicate with everyone.
Although this information is of a private nature, in the conditions of war such a tool, that is, disclosure, can be used, and even should be used. Therefore, this was an unpleasant blow for Lukashenka.
“The Ukrainian president is now taking out of his reserves the diplomatic weapon that he has for a rainy day. Zelensky is trying to separate Lukashenka from Putin,” Klochok explained.
