Eight Countries Join New EU Package Of Sanctions Against Lukashenka's Regime

The decision was welcomed in Brussels.

Eight countries - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway and Ukraine - have joined the latest package of the EU sanctions against Belarus. This is stated in a statement of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs.

It's about the sanctions, approved by the EU Council on 27 March 2025. Then the sanctions list included 25 individuals and 7 legal entities for ‘the situation in Belarus and the country's participation in the Russian aggression against Ukraine’.

The countries that joined the list confirmed that they would bring their national policies in line with the decision of the EU Council.

The decision was welcomed in Brussels and the commitment of the partners to the common position of the EU was stated.
