The State Department has announced the details.
The U.S. State Department has officially stated that North Korea, by participating in Russia's war against Ukraine, is contributing to the prolongation of hostilities.
This was reported by State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce on April 29.
"It's quite simple. North Korea is not helpful. They are not helping. There are other countries that are also contributing to this carnage, and their actions make it possible for it to continue. Third countries, like North Korea, have perpetuated the Russia-Ukraine war, and they bear responsibility for that," Bruce noted.
The State Department spokesperson added that the Americans are "concerned by North Korea's direct involvement in the war."
"North Korea's military deployment in Russia and any support that the Russian Federation provides to the DPRK in response must end. Russia's training of North Korean soldiers directly violates Security Council resolutions 1718, 1874, and 2270, which together impose broad prohibitions on providing or receiving military training or assistance to or from the DPRK," said Tammy Bruce.
