The dictator is assisting Russian aggression in every possible way.
Russia has planned a large-scale offensive on the front, but today it does not have the resources for this, in connection with this, it can be assumed that Belarus will openly enter the war.
This was stated by retired Lieutenant General, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ihor Romanenko on the air of "Suspilne". He noted that the Russian Federation, under the guise of exercises in Belarus, may be preparing an offensive with the participation of the Belarusian military.
"This country has supported the Russian Federation in every possible way in this war - it has transferred its weapons, equipment, provided the opportunity to conduct training at training grounds and provided its airfields for aviation, and treated Russian military personnel," he listed.
Therefore, Romanenko is convinced, the possibility of directly involving the Belarusian military in the war cannot be ruled out. "We must approach it from the point of view of the military - there are several scenarios for further actions, including the worst one, that they will start these actions," Romanenko noted.
At the same time, the expert recalled that the Russian Federation announced a large-scale offensive at the front. According to him, the first stage is already underway, but the enemy lacks resources. He noted that the Russians are calling up 160 thousand people this year, so that conscripts can then replace those who are currently at the front. Romanenko believes that the second stage of the large-scale offensive will take place in the summer and autumn.
"There is a basis for the worst-case scenario to be realized. Although Lukashenko has always tried to maneuver so as not to directly enter the war, understanding how this could end for him," the expert noted.
Romanenko did not rule out that the enemy could use the exercises in Belarus for military action not only against Ukraine, but also against the Baltic countries and Poland. "There is information that intelligence services have allegedly obtained plans for Russian actions until 2029. To what extent they will be implemented and when depends on many circumstances," he added.
