A New Round Of Talks Is Being Prepared Between Ukraine, The US And Europe

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga revealed the details.

France, Britain, Germany, Ukraine and the United States are preparing the next round of talks after meetings in Paris and London. As UNIAN reports, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga said this at a joint briefing with Luxembourg Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel and that country's Defense Minister Juriko Bakes.

In particular, Sibiga was asked if he could confirm information that U.S. visitors will arrive in Kiev this week.

"We need U.S. involvement and leadership in the peace effort. Not only Ukraine, but the world needs it. We welcome U.S. peace efforts to achieve a just, sustainable, comprehensive peace for our nation," Sibiga said.

The minister recalled that in Rome recently Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had a very informative and valuable meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, with further development.

"It was indeed a meeting with qualitatively new elements," Sibiga noted.

He also noted that there have been several rounds of talks with Ukraine's closest allies in the E3 (Germany, France, UK) US-Ukraine format in Paris and in London.

"And certainly the next step will be another meeting in this format," Sibiga emphasized.

In particular, he said, consultations between the allies are now continuing to determine the venue, format and content.

"The main thing is the content and the result. And now all our efforts are aimed at achieving a just peace, and such a fundamental step on this path should be the establishment of an unconditional ceasefire, which Ukraine accepted in Jeddi unconditionally, and now we must jointly all press Russia to get a clear agreement to the proposal for an unconditional ceasefire on land, air and sea," Sibiga said.

The minister emphasized that Ukraine has never been an obstacle to achieving peace.

"Therefore, it is extremely important to continue these efforts, and I hope that the next round of negotiations, which should be held soon in this format of E3-US-Ukraine - will be another significant step towards achieving a just peace," Sibiga added.
