Belarus Sharply Reduced Export Duties On Liquefied Hydrocarbon Gas

The rates changed as of May 1.

The government has significantly reduced the rates of export customs duties on certain oil refined products. The corresponding resolution published on the National Legal Internet Portal.

The rates change from May 1.

For liquefied hydrocarbon gases, the duty was reduced from $8.8 per ton to 90 cents, and for ethane, butane and isobutane - from $7.9 to 80 cents.

The former are used for home heating, as automotive fuel, and the production of petrochemicals. As for butane, it is also suitable as a fuel and propellant for aerosols, in lighters, and for making other chemicals. Ethane is one of the ingredients of fuel for camp stoves. And isobutane is used as a solvent.

The duties on other types of petroleum products were left zero.
