The statements by the Russian Foreign Ministry speaker came against the background of the Ukrainian president's visit to Ankara.
Russian Foreign Ministry speaker Maria Zakharova pounced with insults on Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelensky. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry responded to Moscow's outbursts.
The RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's speaker Georgiy Tykhoy in X (Twitter).
The Russian Foreign Ministry speaker's statements came against the background of President Vladimir Zelensky's visit to Ankara. Zelensky, after arriving in Turkey, called the Russian delegation, which dictator Vladimir Putin sent in his place for talks, "bogus."
Zakharova, commenting on Zelensky's statements, insulted the Ukrainian president.
Ukraine's reaction
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry spokesman Tykhiy said that only insults are heard from Russia toward the Ukrainian president, instead of Putin coming to meet with Zelensky to talk about ending the war and restoring peace.
Tikhiy noted that the Russian Foreign Ministry is not even leading the Kremlin delegation to Turkey.
"This is not the first time that the Russian Foreign Ministry has become a laughingstock. It is also worth noting that the delegation to Turkey is not headed by the Russian Foreign Ministry - their role is to bark from Moscow," Tykhiy emphasized.
