Merz: New Package Of Sanctions Against Russia Is Ready

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that a new package of sanctions against Russia has already been prepared.

He wrote about it on social network X, reports Censor.NET.

"The fact that President Zelensky still went to Istanbul is a huge concession. Putin did not come - he put himself in an uncomfortable position," Merz emphasized.

He added that the new sanctions package is ready and will be adopted in Brussels on Tuesday.

We will recall that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that in the absence of success in the negotiations in Turkey, Ukraine expects the introduction of strong sanctions against Russia by partners, particularly the United States.
