Syria Has Kicked Russia Out Of The Port Of Tartus

And handed it over to the U.A.E.

The Syrian Ports Authority has signed a memorandum with the world's largest port operator DP World (UAE), under which $800 million will be invested in the development of the terminal and logistics services of the port of Tartus. This is reported by Syrian TV.

Syria and the UAE company agreed to work together to organize special economic zones, build terminals and transit hubs in the regions of the republic.

The new agreement was concluded after the termination of the agreement with Russia on joint management with the Syrian government.
