AFU Fighters Knocked Russians Out Of Bogatyr Village

And planted a Ukrainian flag there.

Ukrainian troops have foiled an attempt by the Russian Armed Forces to attack the village of Bogatyr in the Novopavlivskyy direction. The Russians attacked with infantry and motorcycles, but they were detected and neutralized in time. The Ukrainian flag has been returned to the village, and there are no Russian flags there now.

The analysts of the DeepState project in Telegram channel told about the Russian offensive on a section of the eastern front in Donetsk region.

On the evening of May 16, a video from the village of Bogatyr appeared in the project's channel. The video shows the soldiers of the 33 brigade of the AFU, who fought in the village at night. As it turned out, the Russians tried to break through to the eastern and southern outskirts. The AFU command threw forward 20 assault troops: 12 infantrymen and eight motorcyclists (on four motorcycles). The Ukrainian military repelled the attack, analysts wrote. Video from the scene showed a Ukrainian flag flying among the ruins of a house, footage from Bogatyr testified.

"After several attempts by the enemy to enter the eastern and southern outskirts of the village, the fighters of the 33rd OMBr managed to drive the enemy back from the village," DeepState wrote.

It is indicated that the extreme positions of the Russian Armed Forces are on the road to Bogatyr. The fighters also explained that they neutralized 14 units of the enemy's living force, and the rest hid in the village.

DeepState also said that soon there will be new evidence of fighting in the village: documents of dead Russians.

On the map of the project and based on the video 33 OShBr AFU can establish at what point Bogatyr set the Ukrainian flag. We can see that it is the outermost house on the southern outskirts.
