Yemen's Houthis Attacked Israel With Ballistics

The first impact data has emerged.

Yemen's Houthis attacked Israel again on the night of May 18. The Israeli military detected a rocket launch from Yemen, and an alert was issued in the center of the country.

The Israel Defense Forces warned about it at night. The air defense forces managed to shoot down the enemy target, without casualties or damage.

"The Israel Defense Forces detected a rocket launch from Yemen in the direction of Israeli territory. Israel Air Force air defense systems are working to intercept the threat. The public is asked to adhere to the Home Front Command's defensive instructions," the military said in a statement released at 01:57 a.m. on May 18.

Some time later, the The Times of Israel released more details about the attack.

The Houthis attacked Israel with a ballistic missile. However, it was successfully intercepted by Israeli air defenses.

"There are no reports of casualties or damage as a result of the attack," the publication noted.

An alert over the rocket launch was declared in central Israel. Even before the sirens went off, residents in the threatened areas were warned of the attack via phone alerts.

"Since March 18, when the Israel Defense Forces resumed its offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis in Yemen have launched 35 ballistic missiles and at least 10 drones at Israel. Some of the rockets failed to reach their targets," The Times of Israel added.
