Belavia officially confirmed the information about the transfer of some of its flights on the route Minsk-Batumi-Minsk to Kutaisi airport. According to the carrier, this is due to the planned repair of the runway at Batumi International Airport, which will be carried out from May 20 to June 15. Earlier passengers have already complained about such changes, but there were no official comments from the airline, writes The Telegraph.

"In this regard, Belavia is forced to change the airport of arrival/departure for some flights from Minsk to Batumi and back: they have been moved to the International Airport of Kutaisi," Belavia said about the repair work.

The company specified that "some flights will still be operated to/from Batumi airport," and now the airline is "adjusting the schedule on this route. Passengers, who have already issued tickets, were recommended to monitor the current information on the website belavia.by in the column "booking status.

Belavia also offered an option for those who "are not ready to change the route. Such passengers can surrender tickets and "return their full value."

Reminder, information about the change of the airport of arrival for some flights to Georgia began to appear from the passengers themselves. In particular, the Georgian Telegram channel "Faeton" published a screenshot of a message on behalf of Belavia about the change of the arrival airport and the number of flight B2 737, departing on May 29, to Kutaisi, indicating the reason - "runway repair. At the same time "Phaeton" was told on the hotline of Batumi airport that they have no information about any repair works and the airport is working in normal mode.
