Joe Biden Has Been Diagnosed With An Aggressive Form Of Cancer

Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer with metastases to his bones and is considering treatment options with his family, BBC reported.

The 82-year-old Biden was diagnosed on Friday after he went to the doctor last week with urinary symptoms.

"President Joe Biden was examined last week due to the discovery of a nodule in his prostate gland after experiencing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Group 5) with metastasis to bone," the statement said.

"Although it is a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be sensitive to hormones, allowing for effective treatment," the statement continued.

Biden and his family are "reviewing treatment options with their doctors," the statement said.
