Second place went to a politician who did not make it to the second round.

In Poland, the State Election Commission has counted 99% of the votes in the presidential election that took place on May 18.

The data from polling stations abroad are already known. Poland is waiting for the second round of the presidential election, in which the candidate from the "Civic Coalition" Rafal Trzaskowski and the representative of "Law and Justice" Karol Nawrocki are going out.

Rafal Trzaskowski became the first at the foreign polling stations - 36.82%, and the second place was unexpectedly taken by the leader of the far-right "Confederation" Slavomir Menzen - 16.58%. Karol Nawrocki is third with 16.07%.

A lot of votes of Poles abroad were collected by the anti-Ukrainian candidate Grzegorz Braun - 11.07%.

Following the representatives of two left-wing parties are Adrian Zandberg - 6.47% and Magdalena Beyat - 6.11%. Speaker of the Polish Sejm Szymon Golovnia gained 3.43%.

We recall that the second round of the presidential election will be held on June 1. The newly elected president must take the oath of office by August 6, 2025.
