Zelensky Revealed Details Of His Conversation With Trump

There were two calls in different formats.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had two phone conversations with US President Donald Trump during the day - before and after Trump's call to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

He told reporters on Monday, May 19.

In the first conversation, according to Zelensky, they talked about the ceasefire initiative. The US readiness to apply sanctions in case Russia violates the agreements was also discussed.

In the second conversation, which took place after Trump's contact with Putin, European leaders joined the talks. As Zelensky noted, Trump emphasizes the need for direct talks between Ukraine and Russia.

He also added that Ukraine is considering holding a high-level delegation meeting with representatives of the United States, Russia, Ukraine, as well as individual European states.

"We are considering the possibility of meeting all the teams again, we want at a high level. Such a meeting could take place in Turkey, the Vatican or Switzerland," Zelensky said.
