Merz: Europe Will Increase Pressure On Moscow

German Chancellor announced sanctions against Russian Federation.

Europe has agreed with US President Donald Trump on strengthening sanctions against Russia. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz wrote about it on social network X on May 19.

According to him, such an agreement was made after Trump's conversation with illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Europe and America are completely united on this issue: we will actively support Ukraine on its way to a ceasefire. Europe will increase pressure on Moscow through sanctions," Merz wrote.
