Who's Guarding Lukashenko

The dictator's bodyguards have been identified.

"Zerkalo" has named five guards who most often accompany Lukashenko in recent times. Here's what is known about them.

In the last six months, it turned out that at least two guards left for high positions in the banking sector. Journalists have studied which security officers have been accompanying the politician on his trips lately. Here's what they learned about them with the help of BELPOL and "Cyberpartisans".

Ex paratrooper who follows the trail

Lukashenko's most recent foreign "outing" is a trip to Moscow for the May 9 parade. On this trip, the politician's "shadow" was bodyguard Pavel Lagun. It was he who met his boss from the plane and the car, was next to him during communication with journalists and stood behind the podium while the politician watched the demonstration of military equipment.

The same day the politician returned to Minsk and spoke at "his" parade. When after the event Lukashenko went to talk to the military, Lagun was again behind his back.

The journalists told about this bodyguard earlier. It was Lagun who was next to Lukashenko on December 30, 2020, when he visited a military unit of Minsk OMON and thanked the law enforcers "for courage, steadfastness, loyalty to the oath and his people."

He could be seen in the photos of the politician's press service in the following years.

Pavel is a native of Baranavichy, he is 39 years old, according to BELPOL data. In the past, he served in military unit 92,700, which is part of the 38th Independent Guards Airborne Assault Brigade from Brest. He also worked at the Belarusian Military Academy, listed there as deputy chief and course director. When he joined Lukashenko's security service is not known from available data.

Master of Rapid Reaction Sports

Before that, Lukashenko flew to Putin for an unannounced one-on-one meeting in April this year. He was accompanied on the trip by security officer Dmitry Chaplya.

Dmitry is 34 years old and is registered in Minsk. According to Cyberpartisan, he has been in the security service since 2016, before that he served in a special rapid reaction unit (military unit 3032) and in the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (v/h 3214), where he commanded a platoon. In 2018, Dmitry received the title of master of sports in the discipline of "multiathlon bodyguards".

Very experienced guard

Even more often next to Lukashenko can be seen Nikolai Boyarin. He guarded the politician during his trip to Moscow in May, and also appeared in the footage of March 13-14, 2025, when the politician flew to the Kremlin for talks with Putin.

Boyarin can also be seen next to Lukashenko during visits inside the country. For example, he followed the chief during a working trip to Orsha district in April this year.

Now Nikolai is 41 years old, he is registered in Minsk, according to Cyberpartisan. Boyarin has been registered in the military unit 01549, which is responsible for Lukashenko's security, since at least 2006 - that is, for almost 20 years. Available databases have information about his high school studies, but no other information about his education or work has been preserved.

Hockey player and companion at enterprises

Another bodyguard who accompanies Lukashenko on trips around the country is Andrei Parkhimovich. It was he who, together with the politician, visited the church in Tolochin on Easter, toured the Integral plant in February this year and studied the new subway stations on New Year's Eve.

Parkhimovich is 39 years old and his addresses in Minsk and Fanipol were preserved in the leaked databases. According to Cyberpartisan, he has been listed in the security service since at least 2010. Before that, he was listed in the charitable foundation "Memory of Afghanistan.

Andrii also plays hockey in the team "Legion" on the position of defender. We have previously written about this team: it debuted in the amateur hockey championship of Minsk in 2024, 23 of its 29 players are former or current members of Lukashenko's Security Service.

A former bodyguard who is always close by

Also, during Lukashenko's trips around the country, another bodyguard is caught on video. This is Dmitry Gerasimchik. He accompanied the politician during visits to Orsha and Shklou districts in April this year, as well as to the Integral plant in February.

Dmitry is 31 years old, registered in Minsk, according to Cyberpartisan. His previous place of service was in the special rapid reaction unit (military unit 3032), where he was listed as a fighter.
