Officials have found out who caused the shortage of potatoes in Belarus.

After Alexander Lukashenka drew attention to some minor interruptions with potatoes in Belarusian stores, officials and propaganda rushed to search for them. However, the potatoes were not found. But they found the guilty ones. It didn't take long to find them. Because the potato deficit in Belarus is a conspiracy of fugitives and the West that joined them, writes planbmedia.io.

Well, because there are no objective reasons for the potato deficit in Belarus. As explained by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Vladimir Grakun, we are actually fine with potatoes. There's nothing to worry about.

"There was potatoes, there are potatoes," said the deputy minister.

Not surprisingly, there was some cognitive dissonance among the state media. Because, indeed, it is quite unclear whether there are potatoes or not. Eyes and other sensory organs say that there are no potatoes, while all the state statistics convince that there are as many potatoes in the country as there are gutalin.

"What is the potato situation? Here is a direct question. I really say, I don't know how to feel about it. Because I still haven't understood: it's there or it's not," complained on Monday, editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Minsk Courier" Kirill Kazakov.

It's true that the year before last, 1.2 million tons of potatoes were harvested, while last year - only 800 thousand. And it may seem that the shortage of 400 thousand tons was the reason for the shortage of potatoes.

But this is only if you look at it with an incompetent eye. Because according to all estimated indicators Belarusians do not need more than 90 thousand tons of potatoes. It is not very clear why they need to collect it in such quantities. But this is not the point. The point is that, according to Grakun, 48 thousand tons of potatoes have been stocked in storage for the off-season period. And another 80 thousand tons of potatoes were supplied to the stores by farmers.

"This shows that there should be plenty of potatoes," said Grakun.

At these golden words any state heart could have calmed down. And it would have calmed down. If Lukashenko hadn't noticed the potato deficit. But, as "deputy" Gaidukevich said: "If it hadn't happened, Lukashenko wouldn't have raised this problem. And if Lukashenko noticed it, it means that the rest of the country won't be able to ignore it either.

And if there is a problem and it can't be solved, one should at least find the guilty parties. Modern Belarusian political theories and practices do not require excessive ingenuity. The main thing is vigilance.

"I have a feeling that this is such an information diversion," believes propagandist Kazakov.

At other state levels there are no doubts about who is to blame for everything. Of course, those who exported Belarusian potatoes abroad are a little bit to blame. But the main enemies are not there.

"We must tell the truth to people. Those who are in Poland, Lithuania today, look, extremists, these TV channels are their extremist cesspits, and the West, Poles, Lithuanians, politicians are concerned about potatoes and onions of Belarus. Their task is to change the government," explained all the secret springs of politics, Oleg Gaidukevich.

In general, the fugitives and the West, joined by them, are to blame for everything. And Belarusian officials are not guilty of anything at all. And now the main thing is to convince Lukashenko of this. So that their career prospects would not suffer because of the potato deficit.
