Drones Hit Defense Plant In Russian Federation: New Details

The company produces parts for tanks, UAS and missiles.

A factory that produces components for tanks, howitzers and missiles has been attacked in Russia. The plant in question is the Bolkhov Semiconductor Plant in the town of Bolkhov, Orel region.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andrey Kovalenko in Telegram.

Kovalenko noted that the Bolkhov plant specializes in the production of microchips, semiconductors and control components. They are used in:

T-72B3, T-90M tanks;

Self-propelled howitzers;

Iskander and Kh-101 missiles;

REB systems Krasukha and Zhitel;

Tactical communications equipment of the army level.

The CPD head also added that the Bolkhov plant in the Orel region continued to import Western technologies through third countries and "parallel imports" despite the sanctions. In particular, we are talking about components from Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and even the United States.

The network also reported that the Bolkhov Semiconductor Plant is the largest enterprise in the city, its products are used in the defense industry and are "often superior to foreign counterparts." The Russian company is under US sanctions.
