Does Lithuania see threats from the Belarusian regime?

The website Charter97.org talked about it with the analyst of the Vilnius Institute of Political Analysis Marius Laurinavicius.

- Not long ago Lukashenko said that he had agreed with the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the arrival to Belarus of 150 thousand migrants from this country. Could they be used to attack the Lithuanian border?"

- Absolutely. Lukashenko continues his hybrid attack using migrants. Any of his actions can turn into another weapon of hybrid warfare.

- In the fall, Belarus will host a joint exercise "West-2025" with Russia. Does Lithuania see a threat in these maneuvers?

- There is no need to talk about independent Belarus. This is Russia. The threat from the Russian Federation exists, it has not gone anywhere. Any exercises, any events, of course, are alarming.

But I think that both the official authorities and the public are not panicking at all. In the West, various analysts are speculating that this could be a pretext for aggression. Personally, in my opinion, it will be the same exercises that take place every four years.

Nothing special will take place. I don't see any special interest or special concern in Lithuania because of these exercises.
