Poland Erects A New Barrier On The Border With Belarus

Poland has started erecting electronic barriers on water sections of its borders.

This was reported by the Minister of Interior and Administration of the neighboring country Tomasz Semoniak.

The barriers are being installed along the Bug River, which in a long stretch runs along the border with Belarus.

"Work is underway on the Polish-Belarusian border in the Lubelskie Voivodeship to erect an electronic fence on the Bug border river," Siemoniak wrote in X.

According to him, everything will be ready by July 20, and it is necessary to strengthen border security.

It is specified that the electronic fence on the water part includes about 1.8 thousand masts with cameras, 4.5 thousand cameras of round-the-clock and thermal imaging surveillance and special sensors that can detect different objects.

By the way, before that a similar system was erected on water sections in the border area in Podlaskie Voivodeship.
