Russia and Ukraine handed over 307 servicemen to each other in the second stage of a large-scale prisoner exchange on Saturday, May 24, writes "Deutsche Welle".
"On May 24 of this year, in accordance with the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached on May 16 of this year in Istanbul <...> 307 more Russian servicemen were returned. In return, 307 AFU prisoners of war have been handed over," TASS news agency quoted the statement as saying
The Russian servicemen are currently in Belarus.
The day before, on May 23, the Russian Defense Ministry said that under the agreement adopted at the talks in Istanbul, the Russian and Ukrainian sides had handed over 390 citizens to each other: 270 servicemen and 120 civilians respectively.
Later the same day, this information was confirmed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
