Orban's Main Opponent Held A Protest March To Romania
Peter Madjar

Peter Madjar wanted to enlist the support of ethnic Hungarians living in that country.

Hungarian opposition leader Peter Madjar, chairman of the Tisza party, completed a foot march crossing the border with Romania on Saturday, May 24.

It was reported by European Truth.

The action was aimed at gaining the support of ethnic Hungarians living in Romania and appealing to the conservative electorate ahead of the 2026 parliamentary elections.

Madyar set off on May 14, carrying the Hungarian national flag and accompanied by a group of supporters. In small towns along the way to the border, he met with locals, discussing current political issues.

Then on the morning of May 24, 10 days after he began, Madyar completed the hike, crossing the border into Romania.
