In one of the settlements of Tolochinsky district an event that almost ended in tragedy occurred, the State Committee of Forensic Expertise reports.

A drunken man started a conflict with his pregnant wife. He struck her numerous blows with his hands and feet on her head and body, knocked her to the ground and doused her with gasoline. He threatened to burn his wife alive in front of their young children.

Expertise confirmed that the poured liquid was real gasoline, capable of igniting from the slightest spark.

The forensic medical examination revealed numerous bruises on the woman, probably caused by hands and feet.

Psychiatric expertise established that the accused suffers from chronic alcoholism.

After considering the case, the court found the man guilty of threatening to kill and sentenced him to imprisonment for a term of 1 year 6 months. In addition, he was subjected to compulsory treatment for alcohol addiction.
