WSJ: Trump Ready To Impose Sanctions On Russia This Week

The president of the United States is tired of negotiating.
US President Donald Trump is considering imposing sanctions on Russia this week as he grows increasingly frustrated with ongoing attacks on Ukraine and the slow pace of peace talks, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing its sources.
According to one of the sources, the restrictions are unlikely to include new banking sanctions, but other options are being discussed to pressure Putin into a verbal settlement President Trump is also reasonably keeping all options on the table," White House spokeswoman Carolyn Leavitt told the publication.
As the WSJ notes, Trump has resisted pressure for weeks to harass Putin for not agreeing to a cease-fire. Many allies in Ukraine, including Senator Lindsey Graham, have told Trump that Putin doesn't want to negotiate and only punishment will make him seriously negotiate.
