Officials have figured out how to increase cash receipts in the "regional economy", writes "Zerkalo".

The chairman of the permanent commission of the republic's council on economy, budget and finance, Vladislav Tatarinovich, proposes to introduce legalization of unauthorized land plots.

"Vladislav Tatarinovich initiated consideration on the platform of the "advisory council on tax policy" under the Ministry of Finance of the issue of assessing the increase in the tax base in the regions due to the possible legalization of unauthorized land plots," the council of the republic reports.

With such a proposal Vladislav Tatarinovich made during the discussion of forecast documents for 2026 and the medium term.

Other details on the proposed tax adjustments are not reported.

Reminder, Belarus has a land amnesty since 2022, which allows to legalize previously unauthorized land without penalty. Earlier it was extended until 2028.

But in some cases it's impossible to pass such an amnesty because of violations. Perhaps it is a question of legalizing such situations.
