The US authorities are ready to react quickly and increase pressure on Russia - in case it is necessary. This was stated on May 28 on Fox News by State Department Speaker Tammy Bruce.

Bruce, commenting on the U.S. Senate's initiative to impose "extreme" sanctions against Russia, said that the proposed bill, regardless of further action by senators, is "a signal that the U.S. is ready to act."

"This is the kind of bill that, regardless of what the Senate may do, signals that we are ready to act quickly, that America is ready to put maximum pressure, if you will, on Russia.
