Ukraine Was The First In The World To Shoot Down A Su-30 Fighter Jet From A Magura Maritime Drone: Video

A Russian plane burst into flames in mid-air and plummeted into the sea.

For the first time in the world, soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry have destroyed an enemy combat aircraft with a strike from a Magura maritime drone. A Russian Su-30 attack aircraft was liquidated in the Black Sea.

This was reported in the press service of the GSD. The destruction of the enemy aircraft took place on May 2, 2025 thanks to the joint work of military intelligence, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"The historic strike was made by soldiers of the special unit of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GUR Group 13 unmanned maritime platform Magura missile," the report said.

The GUR added that the Su-30 is a multi-role fighter used by the Russian Army. Its estimated cost is 50 million dollars. The plane burst into flames after impact and finally fell into the sea, "to the bottom of the domain of the ruthless Neptune."

A successful strike on a Russian army warplane was carried out in the waters of the Black Sea near a port in the city of Novorossiysk, where the Russian military hides the remnants of its Black Sea Fleet.
