The billionaire announced his resignation from the Trump administration.

US President Donald Trump has announced that he will hold a press conference with billionaire Ilon Musk on Friday, May 30.

On the social network Truth Social, Trump announced the press conference at 1:30 p.m. local time.

"It will be his last day, but not quite, because he will always be with us and he will always help us. Ilon is an amazing person! See you tomorrow at the White House," Trump wrote.

On May 29, Ilon Musk announced his departure from Donald Trump's administration.

"As my scheduled time as a special government employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President Donald Trump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending. DOGE will only get stronger over time as it becomes a way of life for the entire government," the billionaire wrote on his X page.

He had earlier expressed his displeasure over the massive spending bill in the US, which passed the House of Representatives at the insistence of the American leader.

He said the "big beautiful bill" backed by the US president was contrary to the goals of DOGE.
