Czech Foreign Minister Pointedly Responds To Kellogg On Ukraine In NATO

Expansion of the Alliance is in Russia's security interests.

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky has reacted to statements by the US President's Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, who said he was ready to discuss stopping NATO's eastward expansion.

He wrote this on social network X.

Lipavsky noted that NATO's expansion is in Russia's security interests, not the other way around.

"NATO's expansion is in Russia's security interests. Where Russia borders with NATO countries, war is not being waged. In other regions, it is," Lipavsky wrote.

As reported, Keith Kellogg said that the United States believes Russia's concerns about NATO expansion are fair and is ready to discuss it.
