Zelensky Wants To See Another Leader At The Negotiating Table

It's not just Trump and Putin.

Ukraine supports the possibility of a quadripartite meeting on the peace agreement with the participation of the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the United States.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a statement by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"I just had a good and very informative conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. I thanked him personally and all of Turkey for the principled position on supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state," the president said.

He noted that he and Erdogan discussed the first meeting between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul.

"The exchange of prisoners is its important achievement, but, unfortunately, the only one. There must be a ceasefire to continue moving towards peace. It is necessary to stop killing people," he noted.

At the same time, the President noted that he and the Turkish leader discussed a possible next meeting in Istanbul and under what conditions Ukraine is ready to take part in it.

"All the same, we see that this meeting cannot and should not be empty. We also discussed the possibility of organizing a quadrilateral meeting at the level of the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the United States," Zelensky said.

He also said that during the conversation, Turkey's participation in the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit was discussed.

"Thank you for the steps and ideas that can bring the necessary result," the Ukrainian president concluded.
