Syrsky On Kursk Operation: Russia Can Be Defeated Only By Unconventional Methods

The fighting on this section of the front has been going on for nine months.

The AFU commander-in-chief Alexander Syrsky visited the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the Kursk region, noting that the operation on this section of the front has lasted for nine months. In a message on his Telegram channel, he reported that the AFU had achieved most of its goals there.

"Thanks to our active actions in Kursk region, we managed to prevent the enemy's offensive campaign in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The buffer zone created by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the border areas remains relevant even now," he explained.

According to Syrsky, the superior forces of the Russian Federation can be defeated only by unconventional methods. The Kursk operation is a confirmation of this.

"This became possible thanks to specific military units, specific soldiers - real heroes of the Ukrainian army. One of the units that qualitatively and effectively performed certain tasks in the Kursk region is the 225th separate assault regiment. And now, when we talk about successful active defense in the north of Ukraine and in the border areas of the Russian Federation, it is primarily about the 225th," the commander-in-chief said.
