Ukrainian troops probably destroyed another bridge over the Seim River.
Ukrainian troops are trying to isolate Russian units near the village of Tetkino and throughout the entire Glushkovsky district of Russia's Kursk region. This was reported by the American Institute for the Study of War ISW in its latest report.
In reporting on the new AFU operation in Kursk region, the researchers refer exclusively to Russian sources, apparently because the Ukrainian ones are silent on the course of these battles, at least as far as direct combat encounters are concerned.
The Russians, among other things, claim that Ukrainian troops destroyed a bridge over the Seim River between Zvannyi and Tetkino. This is clearly consistent with reports of an intention to encircle some Russian units in the area.

Yesterday, May 5, Russian sources said that the AFU attacked on the border between Russia and Ukraine near Tetkinoye and Popovo-Lezhachie, as well as in the Novy Put area. It was noted that the Ukrainian military used demining equipment to create a passageway through Russian minefields along the border, but the AFU made no significant advance in the area.
Russian military bloggers also reported firefights near the Tetkino railway station and said that Ukrainian troops had not captured the settlement or broken through Russian defenses near Novy Puti.
It was reported earlier that in the Kursk region, local authorities announced the evacuation of the Ukrainian border settlement of Glushkovo. The reason for the evacuation the Russians call "complication of the situation".
