A criminal case under Article 342-2 of the Criminal Code (repeated violation of the order of organizing or holding mass events) was brought against 78-year-old activist Nina Baginskaya. The reason was walking with a badge of white-red-white color on her clothes and the demonstration of national symbols on the streets of Minsk in 2024. Soon the proceedings in Pershamaiski district court of Minsk will begin, writes "Viasna".

As it became known to human rights activists, Nina Baginskaya was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 24.23 ("unauthorized picketing") three times during 2024. The total amount of fines amounted to 7200 rubles (180 basic units). In addition, five more protocols were drawn up against her. The reason for administrative prosecution was walking in the center of Minsk with a badge of white-red-white color on her clothes, as well as repeated "demonstration of white-red-white symbols" in the streets of Minsk.

Nina Baginskaya was repeatedly detained, handcuffed and fined. In addition, the officers preventively detained her at home on important dates, such as the Day of Will, May 9, etc. The activist did not go to her trials on principle.

As a result, a criminal case was brought against Nina Baginskaya.
