The AFU Struck A Russian Missile Factory In Tula

There was a fire.

Ukrainian drones have carried out a series of attacks on the Tula region. The first raid took place around 1 p.m. on May 6, and the fifth attack was recorded in the early morning of the 7th, the head of the region, Dmitry Milyaev, said, The Moscow Times.

He said that the on-duty air defense (AD) forces consistently repelled the attacks. He did not specify the number of downed drones, nor the consequences of the raids. "There are no casualties. The situation is under control," Milyaev noted.

Local residents told Astra that after the explosions in Tula, a strong fire started in the area of Shcheglovskaya Zaseka Street. On this street is located JSC "Instrument Design Bureau" - one of the largest enterprises of the Russian defense industry, which is engaged in the development of high-precision guided weapons for ground forces, Navy and Air and Space Forces. In addition, on the same street is located Scientific and Production Association "Splav" - Russia's leading enterprise in the development and production of multiple rocket launchers (MLRS), heavy flamethrower systems (HFS), ammunition for them, aviation unguided and guided missiles. Both enterprises are part of the Rostec state corporation. It is currently unknown which plant caught fire.

On the background of Ukrainian drone attacks in Tula, mobile Internet outages were recorded the day before. Subscribers of all major operators - MTS, Bilayn, Megafon and T2 - faced disruptions. According to the head of the Internet Protection Society Mikhail Klimarev, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are installing modems with Russian SIM cards on their drones. In flight, the drone tries to connect to mobile communication stations to adjust its trajectory, as well as to transmit intelligence via the Internet. According to the authorities' plan, blocking the mobile Internet interferes with the work of enemy drones, the expert notes.

According to Shot, for long-range attacks the AFU use drones of its own design "Lyuty". They are capable of flying at a distance of up to 1,000 kilometers and carrying a warhead with high-explosive charges weighing up to 50 kilograms.
