The increase in the number of Ukrainian attacks on Russian aircraft may be due to the actions of the Russian Federation, which are aimed at protecting airfields. This opinion was expressed by military expert Mikhail Zhirokhov in the air of "Radio NV".

"Our military is using this window of opportunity that has appeared now to strike airfields. After all, the Russians have very actively launched a program to rebuild reinforced concrete hangars at all airfields. They have been doing it for a couple of years already," Zhirokhov said.

The expert noted that before the SBU's Operation Web, Russia had been building these hangars rather slowly. However, now this process has gone much faster.

"At all airfields, especially frontline airfields that are in the strike zone of our drones - and this is literally everything except Yakutia and the Far East - these reinforced concrete hangars are now being built very quickly, which, unfortunately, make these strikes that are there now impossible. There will be something new. But the weapons that are there now, they can become ineffective very quickly. This is a war of shield and sword, which has been going on for thousands of years," Zhirokhov added.
