The measures are capable of hitting Putin's "wallet".
The European Commission's proposal for the 18th package of sanctions, which will include restrictions against Chinese companies and lowering the price limit on Russian oil can hit the "wallet" of dictator Vladimir Putin.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Twitter account of Senator Lindsey Graham.
"I am very pleased that our European partners - through the European Commission - are imposing a new round of sanctions against Russia for its barbaric invasion of Ukraine," Graham said.
He added that the new round differs from previous ones in that the new sanctions will target companies in China. If China and India did not buy 70% of Russian oil - Putin's war machine would stop.
Graham said sanctions against Nord Stream-1 and Nord Stream-2 are also important. In the same way, the "purse" can be hit by the reduction of the upper limit of the price of Russian oil from 60 to 45 dollars.
"Good work to our European allies," the senator said.
